She will be exhibiting her origami tessellations in Kerkje de Rietstap in April 2022. Origami tessellations are folded sheets of paper with repeating and symmetrical patterns on them.

Everything started with the artist’s wish for a hobby without paint blots and shavings. So she got into paper folding. Origami courses at Aalten Social Cultural Workshops  were the next step. In the beginning she folded according to designs thought up by others, later Annemieke began to design herself. Symmetrical and repetitive patterns are fascinating Annemieke, and she is always curious to see whether the patterns she has devised can actually be implemented.

The exhibition is open on Sundays, April 3^rd , 10^th  and 24^th , 2022 and on Easter Monday, April 18^th , 2022, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Entrance is free, but a donation for maintenance of the church is welcome. You can find Kerkje De Rietstap at Meniststraat 14a, 7091 ZZ Dinxperlo.
The artist will be present and will be happy to explain her work to you.
